When you reserve Chad Dowling Productions for your wedding day, you are guaranteed to get me, Chad Dowling as your DJ, in a tuxedo. I specialize in personalized service. I work with you on the important musical details of your wedding. I'm not only the DJ, but I'm also the Master of Ceremonies. I handle all your announcements, from the introduction of the bride and groom, the bridal party, the first dance and more! I make sure you and your guests are well informed of the events to come. Wedding Receptions
Below is what I typically do at many of my Wedding Receptions:
- Cocktail Hour - I'll play a soothing mix of cocktail music of your choice. Modern, Jazzy, Classical, Whatever you wish! Is your cocktail hour outside, or in a different room? No worries, I'll bring a second sound system for that.
- Introduction of the Bride & Groom or the Entire Bridal Party - Formally and Professionally introducing you and your bridal party into the wedding reception - It's each of your 30 seconds of fame. Choose the perfect bridal party introduction song to fit perfectly with the mood and setting.
- Toasts and Announcements - Time to settle the guests and center their attention! The wireless microphone is always available for anyone to speak!
- Dinner Hour - Again, I'll play a customized and personalized mix of reception music of your choice. Want to add extra lighting and effects to make your dinner hour extra special and romantic - see the uplighting systems available.
- Transition Time - This is the time when you hear the guests get a little less quiet. I start to play "Transition Music" . . . that stuff that will start to make people tap their feet and dance in their chairs.
- First Dances - Bride and Groom Dance - This is your special moment on the dance floor followed by Father Daughter Dance, Mother Son Dance and sometimes a Bridal Party Dance. Sometimes we will plan to do your Bride and Groom First Dance before the dinner, just after bridal party introductions.
- Open Dancing - Enough Said! Okay, maybe not. Usually starting off with general music for all ages, slowly working towards the "younger" stuff at the end of the night. Don't forget about the Slow sets too. Your music will be customized to fit you and your guests! Customize your own playlist via my online music library
- Cake Cutting, Bouquet Toss, Garter Tosses - Traditional wedding activities we strategically fit into the evening's time line. A good time for your guests to catch their breath, a bouquet or a drink at the bar!
- Other Activities - I will assist and/or coordinate other activities such as the Money Dance, Honeymoon Dance, Anniversary Dance, Gift Giveaways, Centerpiece Giveaways, Games, Etc. For each, we will customize the right music that is appropriate for each activity.
Don't worry though, the above is simply a general outline of some of the many traditional activities. During our Detailed Planning Meeting, we will cater and custom your entire night to be 100% to your liking!

- Dance Floor Lighting - Included in ALL of my packages. I don't believe in a dance floor without lighting. (Unless it's daylight, of course ;)

Hi Chad,
I know this is a bit delayed, but Erik and I wanted to send along our MAD PROPS AND THANKS for a fabulous wedding ceremony and reception at the Heathman!! The entire day was more than we ever hoped it could be and you were a huge part of that. The ceremony music was beautiful and just what we imagined it would be. All of the music at the reception was perfect and really kept the party going at all the right times. Our guests had an absolute blast at the reception and we hope you did too! My husband and I hired Chad Dowling as the DJ for our wedding reception on August 13, 2005. Chad was recommended to us by a friend who is a wedding planner who uses Chad’s services for her clients regularly and I had seen him DJ a friend’s wedding and he was superb. From the moment I contacted Chad, he was enthusiastic about helping us plan our big day. He always made us feel like a priority and had wonderful ideas to share with us. He made the preparation easy. He was responsive to our questions and willing to make all of our ideas happen.
As we got closer to the big day, we met with Chad. He worked hard to determine what we wanted and to make sure he was able to provide what we wanted. He went over every detail so that nothing was forgotten. Whatever we wanted he was able to make happen. Everything from important announcements to the DJ’s personality was determined based on our preferences. Chad not only was DJing our wedding but he was putting together our wedding slide show. After I gave him the pictures we wanted in the slide show, he arranged them with the music we requested and brought the necessary equipment to project the slide show during the reception. He checked in with me before the big day to make sure that all my questions were answered and that all the details were covered. This is one area of planning for our wedding day where I felt totally comfortable from the moment we hired Chad.
On the day of the wedding, I knew that were the music was concerned we had nothing to worry about. Chad arrived early and was set up before the guests arrived. From the moment my husband and I arrived at the reception everything went according to plan. Chad made sure that everything stayed on schedule and directed all of the major events including the toasts, bouquet toss and garter toss. Chad played all of the music we had selected and added his own selections which were wonderful. It was so easy to create our playlist with Chad’s user friendly website that lets clients customize every detail of their event. The slide show that he prepared was amazing and a huge hit with all of our guests.
Chad was one of the keys to the success of our day. He is an amazing DJ who uses his skills to energize the crowd. I can definitely say that our day would not have been what it was without him. His skill, professionalism and personality make him a great person to work with and a great person to have directing your big day. My husband and I were both very impressed with him. As a tribute to Chad’s great music selection, people wanted to stay and dance and when I asked Chad to stay longer he did so very willingly. His experience as a DJ is tremendous and we received many compliments from guests about him. He maintained the personality we requested, kept the event moving and entertained our guests so well that we were told it was one of the best weddings ever.

Before too much time passes I wanted to take a moment to thank you profusely for such an incredible job at our wedding. You went above and beyond to make sure the night went flawlessly, even holding a microphone under the laptop for the duration of the slideshow, thank you so much. I have to be honest that I was a bit nervous in hiring you without having a personal recommendation from someone, but you proved there was no need. People have been writing and calling to comment that it was the best wedding they had been to, that it was a great party as well as a momentous occasion.
Being able to build our own playlist was my favorite feature because along with playing the music we chose you selected complementary tunes to go along with it. (And I liked the power to control it a little too!) I know some of our choices were odd, but they all had a meaning and I think you saw that when you played them. (like Rhinestone cowboy? What timing!)
From experience I’ve seen that a DJ can make or break or party, I’ve got to say you made it one hell of a great party, and thats what we wanted. All year in planning our focus was to throw a great party that people would talk about all year, mission accomplished!
